Artist-boxer Philippe Perrin became known for referencing Arthur Cravan, the mythic writer/dandy/adventurer who mysteriously disappeared during the 1920s.

In the ring and on advertisements, Perrin endorsed the uniform and the attitudes of the sparring boxer.

Now, he has created the work "LA PANOPLIE." (THE PANOPLY), an assemblage of French boxing accoutrements (gloves, shoes, mouthguards and other protective objects), gathered under thermoformed plastic on a metal plaque, designed to be suspended on a rack like a hanger.

Today, Philippe Perrin presents the instruments of his success. "LA PANOPLIE", an image of the artist-as-boxer, can be stored in a collector's armoire.
