February 14 - March 20, 2024

Nahmad Contemporary and Perrotin are pleased to present Takashi Murakami, a collaborative exhibition in Gstaad on view from February 14 through March 12, 2024. Featuring nine large-scale sculptures, the presentation will illuminate two paramount subjects in the Japanese artist’s oeuvre: Mr. DOB and Miss Ko2. Conceived in the nineties during the incipient years of the artist’s career, these two iconic characters form the lifeblood of Murakami’s visual language and have continued to evolve in various forms and mediums over the past three decades.

In 1939, the Del Mar Theatre burst onto California’s cinema scene with Frank Capra’s “You Can’t Take It with You.” Throughout the next eight decades, the space has transformed and changed hands. Most recently, Perrotin Los Angeles took possession of the building, converting it into an art gallery while preserving the theater’s historical marquee. An auditorium enhanced by Johnston Marklee serves as the central gallery space, where art collective MSCHF exhibits their second Perrotin solo presentation, Art 2. The collective stages a series of installations bound by the theme of a second act.

Perrotin is pleased to present Oslo-based artist Jason Boyd Kinsella's inaugural U.S. exhibition, EMOTIONAL MOONSCAPES. On view through April 6th, the exhibition consists of two immersive environments on the gallery's second and third floors, introducing the artist’s foray into combining various mediums, such as painting, sculpture, and video.

Perrotin is pleased to present a historical exhibition on the New School of Paris movement, featuring never-before-seen works from private collections and foundations. Exploring the period from 1945 through 1964, the presentation will bring together for the first time a wealth of archives recounting the stories of female gallerists and critics who contributed to the rise of the post-war movement.

This show features exceptional loans and rare archival material, providing an unprecedented glimpse into the lives of these visionary women in Post-war Paris. A 52-minute documentary was produced specifically for the exhibition and will be screened during the show.
