2006

"Automatic Sculptures", as this show was titled, consisted of eight works (all 2006) of different sizes fabricated using computer technology. Veilhan submitted himself, friends or inanimate objects to the sophisticated process of 3D scanning. Once a digital image of each model was obtained, a machine was programmed to carve the form in polyurethane mousse, plywood or polystyrene."

The installations and performances of Gelitin often imply the participation of the spectator with the objective of freeing the emotions and the desires suppressed by society.

In the meantime, contrary to the Viennese Actionists, who used the pain as liberation, Gelitin enjoy the sensual pleasures of the body, in a complete derision. Their performances are funny, chaotic, full of sexual and erotic references.

The artists tell stories, propose absurd theories, put themselves in scene in rascal situations, which they improvise for the audience.
